On 30/1/2023 the certificate awarding ceremony of the 2022 Internship Program was held in the presence of Vice president for Administrative and Financial Affairs Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, Vice president for Student Affairs Dr. Karwan Fahmi Sami, Dean of the Faculty of Science Dr. Maher Khalid Ali, Director of Career Development Center Ms. Berivan Mohammed Ahmad. It also included all the organizers of the centers, a number of private sectors that participated in the program, teachers and students.

The Internship Program is an annual program run by the Career Development Center in collaboration with IREX organization and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the summer season. In this program, third and fourth grade students of all departments from all faculties and colleges will be trained as volunteers in the private sector for a certain period of time.

The aim of this program was to prepare and develop students and provide work experience at the same time. Through this program, students were able to practically apply the subjects they had learned theoretically in the past in the private sector where they were admitted.

At the end of the ceremony, the students who successfully completed their training were awarded certificates from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, IREX organization and Career Development Center at University of Zakho.
